Further demonstrating the danger, in February 2026, a 47-year-old woman experienced a similar terrifying event on an airplane. While charging her phone with the power bank, it caught fire and exploded, causing her first-degree burns. The affected power banks, Casely Wireless Portable Power Banks (Model E33A), were available for purchase online through the company's website, getcasely.com, Amazon.com, and various other e-commerce platforms. Consumers could have purchased these devices between March 2022 and September 2024, with prices ranging from $30 to $70. The CPSC is strongly advising all consumers who own these recalled power banks to cease using them immediately.
