Veteran Democratic strategist James Carville predicted extensive investigations into Donald Trump and his family should Democrats perform well in the upcoming midterm elections. Carville made the comments on Tuesday, expressing confidence in a coming shift in political fortunes.

Anticipating Post-Midterm Investigations

Carville warned Trump that he faces a difficult future if the Republican Party experiences defeat in the midterms. He described the potential fallout as feeling like “getting punched in the mouth by Mike Tyson.”

“Let’s talk about your future, your post-November future,” Carville said, anticipating a widespread defeat for Trump and the GOP. “The Democrats are going to investigate you to no end.”

Focus on Finances and Family

Carville elaborated on the scope of the potential investigations, stating Democrats would seek to recover allegedly “stolen” money. He also predicted scrutiny of Trump’s children, their spouses, and other associates. “They’re going to start going after your stupid jacka-- kids and their spouses and all the other bulls--- that you see, and they’re going to investigate the sh-- out of you,” he stated.

International Legal Concerns

Beyond domestic legal challenges, Carville warned Trump about potential international repercussions. He specifically raised concerns about Trump’s actions regarding Iran, suggesting they could be considered war crimes.

“When it comes to the stuff you’re doing in Iran, I got to tell you, you’re getting really, really, really close to war crimes here. You’re probably going to cross the line,” Carville warned. He added that Democrats would not shield Trump from prosecution by international courts, potentially located in The Hague, Netherlands.

Predictions of Republican Abandonment

Carville also predicted that even Republicans would distance themselves from Trump. “You know who’s going to turn on you? What’s left of the Republican senators,” he asserted.

Speculation on Trump's Response

Carville floated the idea that Trump might resign before facing the full weight of legal challenges, potentially seeking a pardon from Vice President J.D. Vance. However, he cautioned that a pardon might not be sufficient to cover all alleged offenses.

He concluded by stating, “I got news for you, dude. You’re done. And we’re going to enjoy watching your downfall. Thank you very much.”

When contacted by Fox News Digital, a White House spokesman dismissed Carville’s comments, calling him “a stone-cold loser” suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
