Sayin Brothers Converge on Columbus Football Scene

Two brothers who honed their football skills together in Carlsbad, California, are finding themselves reunited in Columbus, Ohio, as their respective careers unfold in the city.

Aidan and Julian Sayin both pursued careers as quarterbacks, leading them down separate paths initially. Aidan headed to Philadelphia to play for the University of Pennsylvania, while Julian established himself in Columbus as the signal-caller for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Aidan's Move to the Pros

Aidan's next career move has brought him back to the same city as his younger brother. He has signed to play quarterback for the Columbus Aviators, marking the start of his professional career.

Julian is preparing for his second season as the starting quarterback for the Buckeyes. Aidan expressed excitement about beginning his pro journey in the city where his brother plays collegiately. "I was super pumped, especially being in Columbus with my brother at Ohio State," Aidan stated.

A Shared Journey and Mutual Support

The brothers share a close bond, often strengthened through their shared passion for football. Aidan emphasized this connection, noting, "We're super close... being able to work out and train and develop together through the years has been such a bonding experience for us."

He added that he is highly supportive of Julian's endeavors, and that support is reciprocated. "Love him to death, and I'm super supportive of what he does, and he does the same for me," Aidan remarked.

Overcoming Setbacks and Looking Ahead

Aidan's college tenure at Penn was unfortunately cut short after he sustained a UCL tear, requiring Tommy John surgery. During his rehabilitation, he spent the last year interning at a real estate agency in Los Angeles while attending Buckeye games to cheer on Julian.

Now, the tables are turning, and Julian is expected to support Aidan during the Aviators' inaugural season, particularly for their five home games. Aidan recalled that Julian missed many of his Penn games due to high school commitments, often only attending during his bye weeks.

Aidan looks forward to his brother attending his games this season, saying, "it'll be fun now that he'll get to come to a full season and see the Aviators." The Aviators kicked off their season on March 29 against the Orlando Storm, with their highly anticipated home opener scheduled for Friday against the DC Defenders.
