A New Hall of Fame Honor
Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has received a prestigious athletic honor. Over the weekend, she was officially inducted into the University of Texas at Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame.
A Stellar Collegiate Soccer Career
Before her current public profile, Brittany Mahomes was a standout athlete for the university's women's soccer team. Throughout her tenure, she appeared in 70 games and recorded 31 goals.
Her senior season was particularly notable, as she set a then-program record by scoring 18 goals in 18 games. This followed a seven-goal performance during her previous season, which included four hat tricks and two sets of back-to-back scoring games.
Celebrating the Legacy
In recognition of the induction, the UT Tyler women's soccer team was gifted new kits and cleats for the 2026 season, featuring the signature Team Mahomes Gladiator symbol.
Brittany expressed her gratitude on Instagram, stating, "Truly honored to be inducted into the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame! This City and this School is a huge part of who I am today." She also credited her former coach, Coach Webb, for bringing out the best in her during her time at the school.
Support from Family and Peers
The announcement drew widespread support from her inner circle. Her husband, Patrick Mahomes, commented, "Congrats!!!! Love you!" while Kansas City Chiefs teammate Travis Kelce celebrated the news by writing, "HOF BRITT!!!! LFG!" Her mother-in-law, Randi, also shared her pride, noting that Brittany's hard work and heart never go unnoticed.
Continued Connection to Soccer
Brittany Mahomes has maintained a strong connection to the sport since her collegiate days. In 2017, she played professional soccer in Ireland.
Furthermore, in 2020, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes became founding co-owners of the Kansas City Current, a team in the National Women's Soccer League. The couple, who attended the same high school in Texas, now share three children together.
