The 44-year-old suspect: a profile in darkness

A 44-year-old British visitor, staying at a hotel in Benidorm's Costa Blanca, was taken into custody after a violent outburst on Poniente Beach that left a Norwegian woman and a young Spanish boy seriously threatened.

Other beachgoers, including the child's mother, intervened, and a lifeguard restrained the man until police arrived.
