Multiple Incidents Reported Across Austin on Wednesday

Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) and the Austin Police Department (APD) responded to a series of incidents throughout the city on Wednesday, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The incidents included pedestrian accidents, a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and a vehicle crashing into a business.

Fatal Pedestrian Accident on North Lamar Boulevard

A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle on North Lamar Boulevard Wednesday afternoon. ATCEMS responded to the 9523 block of North Lamar Boulevard at approximately 2:27 p.m. and pronounced the adult victim dead at the scene.

Police reported a man sustained injuries after shooting himself in the driveway of a south Austin home. This occurred after the home was allegedly set on fire by the same individual on Wednesday.
