The U.S. Army has commenced an administrative review following an unusual incident involving military aircraft near the home of musician Kid Rock in Nashville, Tennessee.

Two AH-64 Apache helicopters, reportedly conducting a training exercise, hovered close to the hillside property on Saturday. Kid Rock subsequently posted two videos on social media capturing the event.

Helicopter Flyover During Protest Salute

The videos shared by the entertainer show the helicopters positioned near his swimming pool. In the footage, Kid Rock is seen clapping, raising his fist, and offering a salute as the aircraft passed by.

The Nashville skyline was visible in the background of the social media posts. Kid Rock accompanied the videos with a statement praising the display.

He posted, “This is a level of respect,” adding that the “Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

Army Confirms Review Underway

Officials confirmed that Kid Rock had not made any official request to the Army for the helicopters to visit his residence.

Maj. Jonathon Bless, the public affairs officer for the 101st Airborne Division, stated on Monday that the division is based at nearby Fort Campbell. This base is located on the Tennessee-Kentucky border, and its helicopters frequently conduct training flights over the Nashville region.

Focus on Safety and Regulations

The Army emphasized its commitment to strict operational guidelines in response to the incident.

A statement released by the Army confirmed the ongoing investigation. It read: “Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations.”

The review aims to “assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements. Appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found,” the statement concluded.
