The aircraft were conducting a routine training exercise when the event occurred, which was subsequently documented in social media videos.

The incident prompted an immediate investigation to ensure adherence to established flight regulations and rigorous safety standards. The Army confirmed that an assessment of the mission is underway to verify compliance with all airspace requirements.

Kid Rock's Social Media Reaction

Kid Rock posted two videos on social media this past Saturday, showing the helicopters hovering near his swimming pool. In the footage, the entertainer is seen clapping, saluting the crews, and raising his fist.

The musician, an outspoken supporter of President Donald Trump, captioned the post by stating, "This is a level of respect... that the Governor of California will never know. God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her." This comment references ongoing political friction between Kid Rock and California Governor Gavin Newsom.

Official Army Response and Context

Maj. Jonathon Bless, public affairs officer for the 101st Airborne Division, clarified on Monday that there was no official request made to the Army by Kid Rock for the aircraft to visit his property. The 101st Airborne Division is based at nearby Fort Campbell, located on the Tennessee-Kentucky border.

The division's helicopters frequently conduct training flights over the greater Nashville area. Major Bless confirmed that the training run was unrelated to a separate event that occurred that same Saturday.

Review of Flight Compliance

The Apache helicopters also flew over a "No Kings" protest occurring in Nashville that was demonstrating against the Trump administration. However, Major Bless explicitly stated that the training flight had no connection to the demonstration.

A statement released by the Army emphasized operational integrity: "Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations. An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements. Appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found."
