A cool-down has arrived across Arizona as colder air moves in following a recent storm system. Temperatures are decreasing statewide, offering a respite from recent warmer conditions.
Valley Temperature Drop
High temperatures in the Phoenix metropolitan area (the Valley) have fallen into the 80s for the first time in several weeks. This cooler trend is expected to continue through Thursday and Friday, according to ABC15 morning meteorologist Jorge Torres.
Easter Weekend Outlook
Breezy conditions and passing clouds are anticipated through the Easter weekend, but the forecast remains dry. High pressure will begin to build, leading to a warming trend.
Warming Trend & Potential Showers
By Easter Sunday, temperatures are predicted to climb back into the low to mid 90s. While temperatures will remain nearly ten degrees above average early next week, a weak storm system may bring scattered showers, primarily east of the Valley, on Monday and Tuesday.
