An Albanian burglar, Dorian Puka, will be deported from Britain for a fifth time after a legal challenge by the Daily Mail. Puka, 32, has been jailed four times for burglaries and deported on each occasion only to sneak back in illegally. He has become notorious for flaunting his wealth on social media, with photos showing him posing in fast cars, drinking in nightclubs and feeding banknotes to his dogs. Puka's lawyers initially persuaded a judge to grant anonymity on the basis that revealing his location could put him at risk.Judge Lifts Anonymity Order For BurglarHowever, the judge axed the order after the Daily Mail pointed out that Puka had filmed a video of himself inside Taylor House Immigration Tribunal Centre and shared it on social media, violating a ban on photography and filming inside court buildings. Puka has been posting extensively about his lavish lifestyle in a clear challenge to the UK authorities, despite claiming he had been forced to return to the UK illegally because of fears for his safety. He told the court he had first arrived in the UK aged 13 before falling into the clutches of a powerful Albanian crime gang that forced him to carry out burglaries. He claimed that when he later tried to leave the gang, both he and his family became targets. However, the Home Office rejected Puka's asylum claim, stating there was no evidence to support his claims that he was at risk in Albania. The appeal was considered by Judge Bagral last month, who accepted that Puka's image was taken in the waiting area at Taylor House, which is clearly identifiable, and that he had placed his attendance at the tribunal in the public domain.Social Media Posts Reveal Lavish LifestylePuka has been posting photos of his lavish lifestyle on social media, including him driving his £184k Lamborghini, enjoying an expensive night out in the VIP section of the plush Cirque le Soir, and showing off his Savannah cat. His social media videos have also featured him feeding banknotes to his dogs, Mouse and Cobra. The Home Office noted that Puka had not reported any threats to police in either Albania or the UK, casting doubt on his claims of being at risk in Albania. Puka has been jailed four times for burglaries and deported on each occasion only to sneak back in illegally, with his first prison sentence being in January 2016. He was deported just a month into his sentence before returning illegally at an unknown date.Timeline Of Four Jail Sentences And DeportationsOn November 3, 2016, he was found guilty of burglary a second time and jailed for two months. He was deported back to Albania after 20 days. He then returned illegally for a third time and was arrested on November 17, 2017 - only to be let out of custody to offend again. This time he was convicted of burglary, theft and driving offences and jailed for 42 months. On December 20, 2018, he was returned to Albania. Yet again, he sneaked back into the UK before being arrested in August 2019 for dangerous driving, driving while disqualified and going equipped for theft. He went on to receive his fourth jail sentence - of an 18-month imprisonment - and was deported to Albania on July 29, 2020. Puka told the court he last entered the UK illegally on October 15, 2021.This time, he sought to stay by exploiting the asylum system - applying for leave to remain in December 2022 and then asylum in July 2023. His claim was rejected by the Home Office in September 2024 but he appealed. The appeal is what was considered by Judge Bagral last month.
