The incident occurred in the fourth quarter after Fever forward Sophie Cunningham was called for a personal foul on Wilson. As Wilson walked away from Cunningham toward the basket, a man in the first two rows on the baseline took two steps toward her while repeatedly pointing at her and appearing to say "That's on you" twice. The fan was wearing a Fever hat and was immediately pulled back into his seat by a woman next to him wearing the team's free playoff shirt. Officials and teammates intervened to prevent the situation from escalating.Wilson demanded that the fan be removed from the arena. The fan was briefly removed but later returned to his seat. The Aces star also received a technical foul for confronting the fan. The Indiana Fever released a statement after the game explaining why the fan was allowed to return."Following a report of a comment directed toward a player, arena security spoke with the fan involved and witnesses," the team said. "Security determined there was no violation of the Fan Code of Conduct, the fan was not removed from the arena. We consider the matter closed." That is unacceptable." She continued: "You don't step towards me and point at me. I'm not for that at all. I apologized to my team because I got us a tech, but there's just certain things that I'm not gonna allow.Agent Shares Fan Photo on Social Media" Wilson also said she was not shocked the fan was not removed from the arena. Tried getting him tossed for pointing." Earlier in the fourth quarter, a referee called Indiana's Caitlin Clark for her sixth foul after she attempted to defend the lane from a driving Aces player.
