60 arrested during FBI investigation in Montgomery A two-week investigation led to more than 60 arrests in Montgomery. The FBI teamed up with state and local officers for Operation Southern Star. The group made over 60 arrests, and seized 52 guns and over $10,000. The FBI said it is not taking its foot off the gas when it comes to stopping violent crime in Montgomery. “Today is an example of when we are at our best in law enforcement. When you have collaboration and cooperation across federal, state and local officials, when you do not see jurisdictional boundaries limiting your participation, and when everybody is united behind a singular mission, and that is to be able to make this a safer city and this a safer community,” said Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.UPDATE: Crews battle brush fire at Gulf State Park and near WatervilleGSPD: 109 arrested after police bust spring break house party in Gulf ShoresMobile police make multiple arrests after Forest Glenn Court shooting that killed 1, injured 1Mobile street to close this week for power upgrades near University HospitalTwo men sentenced to 30 years for shooting at law enforcement in separate Florida cases
