Arizona is set to enjoy pleasant weather conditions after a recent storm system brought rain and snow. Temperatures will be cooler on Tuesday, with a gradual warming trend expected throughout the week. The forecast includes details on temperatures, wind conditions, and potential for rain, alongside important heat safety information.
Post-Storm Conditions and Cooler Temperatures
Following the passage of a cold front and storm system, Tuesday promises a beautiful day across the region. The storm system that delivered rain and snow Monday night will continue to usher in cooler air throughout the day. Winds are expected to be less intense than in recent days, although the High Country might experience a touch of breeze.
Isolated rain showers are a possibility in the High Country, while the Valley will enjoy sunny and comfortable conditions. The forecast high temperature in Phoenix is expected to reach 80 degrees Fahrenheit on Tuesday, which is 5 degrees below the average for this time of year. Flagstaff will see temperatures topping out in the low 50s, with overnight temperatures still dipping below freezing.
Impact on Arizona Snowbowl and Skiing
Arizona Snowbowl received 6 inches of fresh snow overnight Monday, ensuring they can maintain their snowpack given the expected mild temperatures. Consequently, skiing and snowboarding will be available at Arizona Snowbowl on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Warming Trend and Thursday's Conditions
Temperatures will gradually increase over the next few days, with the forecast high reaching 86 degrees on Wednesday and 88 degrees on Thursday. A weather system passing to the north on Thursday will lead to breezy conditions in the Valley and windy conditions in the High Country.
This system will also cause temperatures to dip back into the mid-80s on Friday. Clear heating trends are anticipated, with the forecast highs reaching 89 degrees on Saturday and 95 degrees on Sunday and Monday. The weather forecast indicates dry and mostly sunny conditions each day, with the exception of Thursday, when additional cloud cover is expected.
