The transition to these new account types will be automatic as users reach the age of 9. Both account types can undergo verification through the age check system or parental approval. Roblox is also enhancing its existing age verification by requiring a facial scan for access to online chat features. This technology helps the platform accurately assign users to age-appropriate settings, including communication restrictions. This builds upon measures introduced earlier this year.
