Women's Sports Revenue Set for Major Growth

Global revenues from women’s sports are projected to surpass $3 billion in 2026, according to a new report released by Deloitte on Wednesday. This represents a significant increase from the $2.4 billion generated in 2025.

Key Findings from the Deloitte Report

The Deloitte report, titled Game Changers: Unlocking the Potential of Women’s Sports, indicates a maturing market with escalating valuations and expanding revenue streams. A key driver of this growth is a 340% increase in international revenues over the last four years.

Investment Fuels Expansion

This substantial investment is fostering greater participation and development within the women’s sports ecosystem. Increased investment also raises expectations from fans, athletes, investors, and business partners, setting the stage for sustained success.

Revenue Stream Breakdown

The analysis identifies three primary revenue streams contributing to this growth: commercial, broadcast, and matchday. Commercial revenue currently accounts for the largest share, contributing 45% of the total.
