The $30 mlilion ticket trials
Hank Azaria, a 62-year-old comedian and long-time season ticket holder since 1970 , expressed frustration over the opaque ticket allocation process for the New York Knicks' playoff run. He revealed that as a season ticket holder, he often receives complimentary tickets, but the process is unclear. For Game 3, he didn't get the freebies, so he bought expensive tickets for Game 4, only to later learn he had secured free tickets for the same game.
Azaria attempted to sell the purchased tickets on StubHub but found the market softened due to the Knicks' loss in Game 3. He decided not to let them go to waste and invited two enthusiastic Knicks fan friends to use his purchased seats while he and his wife took the comped seats. However, upon arrival, he discovered the complimentary seats were located in the remote Cisco Suites, high in the rafters, while his friends enjoyed excellent lower-level seats he had bought.
Azaria quipped, 'My friends now are sitting in great seats now that I bought and I can't switch with them.' Despite the less-than-ideal viewing spot, he witnessed the historic NBA Finals comeback where the Knicks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 107-106.
Taylor Swift's courtside presence sparks commentary
Taylor Swift, 36, was indeed courtside for Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden, enthusiastically cheeriing on the Knicks as they neared their first championship since 1973. Azaria expressed his frustration over the extensive coverage of Swift's presence, saying, 'I'll tell you the one that bothered me was Taylor Swift. come on, I know she's the hugest thing in the world, but we had to sit with her all through the NFL and now she's at the Garden. Come on.'
Azaria clarified he didn't begrudge Swift the seat but was tired of the extensive coverage. Meanwhile, Knicks radio analyst Monica McNutt, 36, faced backlash after a hot mic comment about Swift went viral. She defended herself, stating, 'Even if you call out race being super peace of mind, I'm just making an observation of what is happening.'
