All Elite Wrestling (AEW) has confirmed the sudden passing of professional wrestler PAC, born Benjamin Satterley, at the age of 40. The athlete died while in transit to a wrestling event, though the specific cause of death has not been disclosed.
From 2008 to 2016: PAC's WWE Tag Team Success
Benjamin Satterley began his professional journey in 2006,quickly establishing himself as one of the most athletic performers in the industry. According to the report, he spent a significant portion of his early career with WWE between 2008 and 2016, a period during which he secured two WWE Tag Team Championships.
His tenure during these years mirrored a broader shift in professional wrestling toward a more acrobatic, "high-flying" style that prioritized agility and risk. By blending charisma with technical precision, PAC became a staple of the mid-card and tag team divisions, helping to redefine the physical expectations for wrestlers of his size during the late 2000s.
The 2019 Transition to All Elite Wrestling
In 2019, PAC joined All Elite Wrestling (AEW), marking a new chapter in his career as he transitioned from the WWE ecosystem to a more alternative promotional landscape. As reported, PAC had been actively competing for a prominent spot within the AEW roster up until his passing, maintaining his reputation for dynamic and high-energy performances.
This move was part of a larger industry trend where veteran performers sought more creative freedom and different scheduling demands outside of the WWE's rigid structure.. In AEW, PAC was able to showcase a more aggressive edge, further cementing his status as a world-class competitor capable of adapting to various wrestling philosophies.
A Canceled 'Yacht Rock' Appearance with Taylor Hanson
The tragedy occurred just as PAC was expanding his presence beyond the wrestling ring. He was slated to appear in an episode of 'Yacht Rock' alongside musician Taylor Hanson, but the production was forced to eliminate him from the lineup following the news of his death.
The timing of the event is particularly jarring, as the report notes that PAC passed away on Sunday, September 26, while traveling to the next venue for a scheduled wrestling event. The intersection of his athletic commitments and his foray into entertainment highlights the multifaceted nature of modern wrestling stardom.
The Unresolved Cause of Benjamin Satterley's Death
Despite the confirmation of his passing, several critical details remain missing. The most pressing open question is the cause of death, which AEW has not yet disclosed to the public. Furthermore, the source does not specify the exact location or the specific venue PAC was traveling toward when he died.
PAC is survived by his wife, Zahra Schreiber , and their son. As the wrestling community processes this loss, the lack of medical clarity leaves a void of information regarding whether this was a sudden health crisis or an unforeseen accident during travel.
