SDSU Football Spring Game Details
A Community Focused Event
The spring game, scheduled for Saturday afternoon on the SDSU campus practice fields, marks the culmination of over a month of off-season workouts. Head coach Sean Lewis emphasized the primary goal: “simply playing football.”
However, the event extends beyond a practice session, aiming to engage the local community and attract new fans. Coach Lewis highlighted a range of family-friendly activities, including beer gardens, cartoonists, balloon artists, and a kids’ clinic led by Aztec players.
A kids’ run is scheduled for 2 pm, allowing young fans to participate on the field. Coach Lewis encouraged San Diego residents to attend, emphasizing the event’s accessibility and fun atmosphere. Admission is free, with gates opening at 1 pm.
Aztecs Basketball Adds International Talent
Welcoming Luka Skoric
SDSU basketball coach Brian Dutcher announced the addition of Luka Skoric, a 23-year-old professional player from Croatia. The 6-foot-9 guard and forward previously played for KK Cibona in Zagreb, averaging six points and three rebounds against experienced European competition.
This marks SDSU’s first time signing a player with professional experience, facilitated by recent NCAA rule changes and Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. The Aztecs have seen significant roster turnover recently, with many players entering the transfer portal, making Skoric’s addition crucial for rebuilding the team.
