Situated on 7.2 acres near La Jolla, the temple encompasses 72,000 square feet. It underwent a year and a half of interior renovations following exterior repairs in recent years.

Kurt Wickham, communications director for the church’s San Diego region, emphasized the generational significance of the event. He stated the open house provides a unique chance for Latter-day Saints to share this sacred space with friends and family.

The church is committed to accommodating large crowds by extending hours and ensuring a meaningful experience. The open house will operate on a reservation system, though walk-ins will be welcome with potential wait times.
