Rescue dog Patsy charged towards a 12 square-mile private woodland on the run with her puppies.

Introduction to Parenthood

Missed by her new owners for six weeks, rescue dog Patsy allowed her puppies to get away, only to drag Christine and Leslie Reading through the countryside, woodland, and brambles.

The Search

The couple spent weeks searching for the ‘beautiful’ dog - putting up ‘missing’ posters, making Facebook appeals, and delivering flyers in an eight-mile radius of their home in Yarsop, Herefordshire – until Patsy was eventually caught at a farmyard almost four miles from home.

Reunion

Eventually, the team was able to rescue the surviving three of the litter, with the couple considering keeping one of the puppies.

With her puppies snuggled up beside her, rescue dog Patsy looks a picture of contentment.

A Happy Ending

‘Patsy is a wonderful mother and thankfully all thoughts of fleeing have gone’, Mrs Reading said.
