A serious motorcycle crash occurred in Painesville Township, Ohio, on Monday evening, resulting in life-threatening injuries for both the driver and passenger. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) is currently investigating the incident.

Details of the Crash

The accident took place at approximately 8:27 p.m. on State Route 2 near the intersection with North Ridge Road in Lake County. A gray 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound when the operator attempted to pass other vehicles using the left berm.

The passenger also suffered serious injuries and was taken to MetroHealth Main Campus in Cleveland for treatment.

Ongoing Investigation

The OSHP investigation is active, focusing on determining the cause of the crash and any contributing factors. Troopers are examining the motorcycle, road conditions, and gathering witness statements.

The OSHP urges motorists to exercise caution and maintain a safe following distance, especially on curves or when passing other vehicles. Further updates will be provided as the investigation progresses. The condition of both the driver and passenger remains critical.
