Indie developer Poncle has announced plans for 15 new projects, building on the success of their popular game. These projects include both new content for their hit title and the development of entirely new intellectual properties (IPs).

Recent Game Launch & Positive Reception

Poncle’s latest release, launched on April 21st, entered the competitive deckbuilding game market and has been met with overwhelmingly positive feedback. The game initially launched on Steam in 2022 and quickly gained a dedicated fanbase.

Impressive Player Numbers

The new title is already demonstrating strong performance, nearing 30,000 concurrent players on Steam even before the weekend peak. This is a significant achievement for an indie game in the crowded card battler genre, which has grown in popularity following titles like Vampire Survivors.

Expansion and Future Development

Following its initial success on Steam, the game has expanded to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. This broadened its reach and solidified a dedicated player base.

A Portfolio of Projects

Poncle revealed to The Game Business that the team is currently working on a portfolio of 15 projects. Initial reports suggested these were all new games, but the developer clarified that the projects include expansions, new content for the existing title, and entirely new IPs.

Strategic Growth & Collaboration

Poncle intends to leverage its success and unique gameplay mechanics, potentially collaborating with other developers. This will allow them to capitalize on their expertise while diversifying their portfolio.

Accessibility and Pricing

The current release is available for $9.99 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It is also a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass, increasing accessibility for players.
