A 500,000-copy success story with PS5 Pro support

Jurassic World Evolution 3 has demonstrated significant commercial strength since its 2025 release. The report notes that the third installment in the series successfully sold over 500,000 copies within only two weeks of its launch. This performance established the title as a major player in the management simulation genre.

The game's core loop involves building and managing complex Jurassic Parks, requiring players to construct various facilities and attractions. To populate these environments, the game offers dozens of different dinosaur species for players to manage. This commercial success is bolstered by high-end technical features, particularly for players on next-generation hardware. The game is the first in the franchise to receive a dedicated PS5 Pro upgrade, utilizing PSSR upscaling technology and ray-traced sun shadows to improve visual fidelity.

The presence of star power also remains a key draw for the title. Jeff Goldblum has returned to the series, reprising his role as Dr. Ian Malcolm to provide a sense of cinematic authenticity to the gameplay.

The mystery of the October 2026 sale expiration

The current PlayStation Store promotion includes a timeline that is highly unusual for digital gaming sales. While the Badlands Set and the $48.74 Deluxe Edition are available now, the report states that these discounted prices will remain active until October 22, 2026.

This massive two-year window leaves seeveral questions unanswered for consumers and industry observers alike. It is unclear if this is a clerical error in the storefront's expiration date or a deliberate long-term pricing strategy. Furthermore, the report does not specify if this sale is tied to any upcoming content drops or if it signals a permanent price reduction for the Badlands Set.
