Victoria Beckham, the former Spice Girls singer and fashion designer, recently shared insights into her family life and fashion preferences. She specifically discussed her 14-year-old daughter, Harper’s, growing interest in fashion.

Harper's Fashion Aspirations

During an appearance at the Time100 Summit in New York City, Beckham revealed Harper’s desire to wear her mother’s iconic Spice Girls outfits. However, one outfit is currently off-limits: the black PVC catsuit from the “Say You’ll Be There” video.

“She loves fashion, she loves beauty, and I’m pretty sure she would love to get her hands on those Spice Girls costumes… Well, not the PVC catsuit just yet. She’s 14, okay, so we’re going to wait for that,” Beckham explained.

Early Exposure to Fashion

Beckham also noted that Harper has been involved in the fashion world from a very young age. She often accompanied her mother to product development meetings, even as a baby. “She is as obsessed with product as I am,” Beckham added.

Addressing Family Turmoil

The designer also addressed the recent public scrutiny her family has faced. Earlier this year, her son Brooklyn Beckham, 27, publicly accused his parents of controlling him and negatively impacting his wedding to Nicola Peltz.

When asked about coping with such public attention, Victoria responded, “This has been happening since I was 20, so it’s been going on a long time. And I have an incredible husband who supports me enormously. We’re always there for each other, and I learned a long time ago not to listen to the noise.”

She continued, “Not focus on the noise. Someone’s always going to have something to say. I focus and I don’t pay attention to it if that makes any sense. Someone else will deal with it. I don’t want to know. That’s how I handle it, I suppose.”

Family Support and Protection

The Beckhams have been in New York attending the TIME100 Gala, where Victoria was named one of Time’s Most Influential People of 2026. During an interview on the Today show, she emphasized the importance of family support and protection.

“We love our children so much and have always really focused on protecting our children,” she said. “But we laugh a lot. David Beckham is really, super funny.”

The ongoing rift between Brooklyn and his parents remains a subject of media speculation, with no public reconciliation reported. Despite these challenges, Victoria and David Beckham continue to present a united front.
