Dave Hill, the former Slade guitarist,has been in the music industry for over 60 years, having risen to fame in the early sixties with his band Slade. He has made friendships with A-listers from Sir Paul McCartney to Noel Gallagher and the late Ozzy Osbourne. Ahead of his summer show at the Rewind Festival, Dave spoke to the Daily Mail about his 'deep friendships' with his A-list pals.

35 Years Since Slade's Final Performance

This year marks 35 years since the current lineup of Slade - Noddy Holder, Don Powell, Jim Lea, and Dave - took to the stage for one final time before they split in 1991 . According to the Daily Mail, Dave shared his close friendship with best pal and former bandmate Noddy and his belief that the buzz he still gets from performing is a feeling like no other.

Joining Slade at the festival will be Rewind favorites such as Kim Wilde, Soul II Soul, Roland Gift, Blancmange, Bow Wow Wow, Peter Wylie (The Mighty Wah! ), Tony Hadley, Nik Kershaw,Tunde (Lighthouse Family), The Undertones, The Beat (featuring Ranking Jnr. ), Tom Robinson, Toyah, and Lotus Eaters’ Peter Coyle. As the Daily Mail reported, Dave continues to play the occasional show with his current bandmates Russell Keefe, John Berry, and Alex Bines.
