The Duketow family, performing as Rhythm and Grace, is bringing their vibrant Celtic and Folk music to St. Jerome’s Parish Hall in Sault Ste. Marie on Saturday, May 16th, at 7:00 PM.

A Family Tradition

Hailing from Lakefield, Ontario, the eight siblings – aged 9 to 24 – have developed a remarkable musical legacy through dedication and a shared passion for Celtic and Folk traditions. Their parents, Alex and Miriam Duketow, nurtured their children’s musical abilities from a young age.

Musical Versatility

Rhythm and Grace’s performance will feature spirited fiddling, energetic step dance routines, and original folk songs. The band’s instrumentation includes fiddle, piano, guitar, bass, Irish whistle, and percussion.

Sibling Collaboration

Each of the siblings – Caleb, Bethany, Rachel, Madeline, Monica, Kristen, Stephen, and Marissa – contributes to the band’s creative process as composers, arrangers, and performers. They are currently on tour across Canada, including a return visit to Sault Ste. Marie.

New Album and Community Focus

The concert will highlight selections from their newly released album, “Tunes For The Journey,” showcasing their instrumental skills and compositions. Rhythm and Grace aims to create a welcoming atmosphere for all ages.

Admission to the concert is by donation. Alex Duketow can be reached at (705) 872-5690 for more information. The event will be held at St. Jerome’s Parish Hall, 26 Carmel Road, Sault Ste Marie, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
