Residents described the fireworks as exceptionally large and loud, shaking houses and frightening livestock even miles away. The late-night displays also disrupted families with children preparing for school. Mittal, known for lavish spending – including a £28 million wedding for his daughter and substantial political donations – has reportedly relocated his residency to Switzerland and acquired a £152 million mansion in Dubai.

The Mittals have issued an apology for any “unintentional disruption.” However, residents have expressed frustration and questioned the necessity of the extravagant displays. The first night’s fireworks reportedly celebrated Mrs. Mittal’s birthday, while the second marked the Hindu festival of Akshaya Tritiya.
