Josie Gibson: Health Update & West Country Series
This Morning presenter Josie Gibson has recently undergone a brachioplasty to address lipoedema, a condition characterized by abnormal fat build-up in the arms and legs. She is now sharing details of her recovery and the alternative therapies she’s embracing.
Addressing Lipoedema and Recovery
Josie previously had liposuction on her calves in September of last year, following consultations with four specialists, at a cost of £7,000. Currently, she is focusing on recovery and incorporating alternative therapies into her wellness routine.
She is awaiting delivery of a hyperbaric oxygen chamber for three months of treatment, designed to boost blood oxygen levels. Additionally, she’s installing a copper meditation pyramid in her garden near Bath, believing it will enhance energy and promote healing.
Exploring Alternative Therapies
Josie playfully described her interest in the copper pyramid, explaining her fascination with grounding, energy harvesting, and its potential healing properties. She is keen to explore these methods alongside conventional medical care.
Celebrating West Country Roots with New ITV Series
Beyond her health journey, Josie’s deep connection to the West Country is a central theme in her life. This is showcased in her new ITV series, ‘Josie’s Taste Of The West Country’, which celebrates the region’s rich food and traditions.
A Culinary Journey
‘Josie’s Taste Of The West Country’ takes viewers on a culinary exploration through Gloucestershire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, and Cornwall. The series features local delicacies such as Stinking Bishop cheese in Gloucestershire, oysters from Porlock Bay in Somerset, and award-winning cider at Harry’s Cider Company in Langport.
The show also highlights hidden gems, including a natural spring near Dorchester, Dorset, known for its exceptionally pure water. Josie expressed her surprise at the wealth of experiences available in her home region and her long-held desire to create this series.
Balancing Career and Motherhood
Josie’s authenticity, a blend of warmth, vulnerability, and humour, has resonated with audiences since her win on Big Brother and her fourth-place finish on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in 2023. She has since become a popular presenter on ‘This Morning’.
However, Josie emphasizes that her most important role is that of a mother to her son, Reggie, born in 2018. She co-parents with his father, Terry Bond, and manages the challenges of balancing work and motherhood without a nanny, relying on support from family and friends.
Growing up as one of six children raised by a single mother instilled in her a sense of resourcefulness and a love for simple joys. Her deep connection to the West Country, starting from Junction 16 on the M4, fuels her passion for sharing its unique charm and flavours with viewers.
