Disneyland Resort in California is preparing for a series of temporary closures of popular attractions and entertainment this summer. These closures are part of routine refurbishment projects designed to maintain the quality and safety of guest experiences.
Scheduled Attraction Closures
Pirates of the Caribbean & Blue Bayou
The iconic Pirates of the Caribbean ride will be unavailable from May 4th until early June. The Blue Bayou Restaurant, located within the ride, will also be closed concurrently from May 4th to May 20th.
Pixie Hollow & Fantasmic
Pixie Hollow will have limited access, closing on Tuesdays and Thursdays through June 7th. Fantasmic, the spectacular water show, will experience intermittent closures throughout May, with daily performances resuming on May 22nd.
Other Rides Under Maintenance
Several other rides are currently undergoing maintenance and are expected to reopen in June. These include Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Silly Symphony Swings, and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind.
Attractions Reopened
Disneyland has recently reopened several attractions following their own refurbishments. The Disneyland Monorail is once again in operation, and Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes and Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin are also available to guests.
Disneyland's Commitment to Maintenance
A Disneyland official told FOX Business that these refurbishments are a standard practice, carefully scheduled to minimize disruption. The park aims to balance necessary maintenance with a seamless guest experience.
Guests are encouraged to check the Disneyland website for the most up-to-date information on closures and refurbishment schedules before and during their visits. This proactive approach allows for effective planning and maximizes enjoyment of the park.
The refurbishment process includes a comprehensive review of ride components, safety systems, and aesthetic elements, ensuring the highest standards are met. This dedication to detail is central to the Disney brand and its continued popularity.
