The Departure Festival Music Showcase will feature an impressive lineup of over 100 emerging artists, offering a preview of the future of music. Notable performers include Annabel Oreste, Hunter James, Noise Hotel, and Rosewater Park, promising a diverse and exciting auditory journey.

Departure Honours Ceremony

A special event, Departure Honours, will be held on Thursday, May 7th, at Koerner Hall. This ceremony will celebrate outstanding contributions to arts and culture. Rupi Kaur will receive the Independent Achievement Award for her global success as a poet and artist.

Legendary music manager Bruce Allen will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of service to the music industry. The Remix Project, a Toronto-based arts and mentorship organization, will be recognized with the Industry Achievement Award for its significant impact on the local creative community.

Sarah McLachlan will be presented with the Allan Slaight Humanitarian Award, given by Slaight Music, acknowledging her humanitarian efforts and contributions to the arts.
