David Beckham celebrated his 51st birthday on Saturday with a family gathering, notably without his eldest son, Brooklyn. The celebration comes amidst a continuing dispute between Beckham and Brooklyn, who has publicly distanced himself from the family’s ‘Brand Beckham.’

Birthday Celebrations and a Unique Gift

Victoria Beckham and their children, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper, shared touching tributes on social media. The family presented David with an unusual birthday gift: chickens. Victoria, 52, shared a video on Instagram showing David interacting with the new additions to their £15 million Cotswolds estate.

Dressed in a cowboy hat, David carefully placed the birds into their coop while Victoria excitedly commented, “It’s David’s birthday and this is me and the kids bought him, from the boys, they’re so pretty!” She captioned the post, “Happy Birthday, we love you so much!!”.

Social Media Tributes from Younger Children

Romeo, 23, posted childhood photos with his father, writing, “Happy birthday dad, love you so much, thank u for everything you do,” and “My best mate.” Cruz, 21, shared yacht photos with his dad on his Instagram Story, adding, “Happy birthday I love you xxx.”

Harper, 14, the youngest, wrote a touching tribute, saying, “Happy birthday to the best daddy in the whole world. I honestly could never ask for a better role model too, you are always here for me and I will always be here for you too anytime anywhere have the best day ever, you deserve everything.”

Ongoing Family Feud with Brooklyn

The birthday celebrations occur as tensions remain high between Brooklyn and his parents. Earlier this year, Brooklyn publicly disassociated himself from ‘Brand Beckham,’ accusing his parents of being ‘performative’ and controlling his life.

He also alleged interference in his marriage to Nicola Peltz and feeling embarrassed during their wedding. Victoria recently addressed the feud, stating, “We love our children so much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.”

She added that parenting adult children is different and that the negative press hasn’t impacted her business. David and Victoria haven’t spoken to Brooklyn since May, when he and Nicola missed David’s 50th birthday. Brooklyn has reportedly blocked his parents on Instagram and detailed his grievances in a lengthy statement.
