Reality TV star Chloe Lewis has broken her silence on the tragic passing of her former boyfriend and TOWIE co-star Jake Hall , who died in a freak accident in an Airbnb in Majorca on May 6.
The $30 million heartache
Chloe, who dated Jake on and off for six years, initially took a break from social media to process his death but returned with a poignant tribute on Friday, accompanied by a gallery of their photos together.
Alongside the photos, she penned an emotional message describing him as her first love and childhood sweetheart, who taught her so much about life and herself.
A love that transcended reality TV
Chloe recalled how they met at the age of 16 when Jake stalked her in a bar and ended up coming out with her sister and Danny for the night, and how they were inseparable from that day on.
However, navigating their young years and being thrown into a reality TV show took a toll on their relationship, with Chloe writing that being in the public eye wasn't what they wanted, but it happened quickly and took over their relationship.
A legacy of love and creativity
Chloe described Jake as the most talented and creative person she knew, who started his brand Prevu in his parents' garage from a young age and came up with gorgeous original styles.
She remembered the day he made her the first womenswear piece and insisted on taking photos of her wearing it, and how he loved music the way it should be loved, with songs now holding deeper meaning.
A farewell to a pest, a friend, and a love
Chloe acknowledged that Jake was a pest and drove the people who cared about him crazy, but they loved him and she wouldn't have changed him for the world.
She wrote that the last few weeks have felt surreal, and she still doesn't know how to process him being gone, but hopes he can see the outpouring of love for him and that his mind is finally peaceful.
The TOWIE world mourns
The reality star's tribute has been widely shared, with many expressing condolences and support for Chloe as she navigates this loss.
The outpouring of grief underscores the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing loved ones, with Chloe's message serving as a reminder of the enduring bond they shared, even after their relationship ended .
