Former Made In Chelsea star Binky Felstead is facing public backlash following a dispute with a baker over a request for a complimentary cake. This comes as other celebrities share updates on beauty treatments, stage preferences, and upcoming projects.
Binky Felstead's 'Freebie' Request
Binky Felstead, known for her appearances on the reality television show Made In Chelsea, is at the center of controversy after a disagreement with Reshmi Bennett, owner of the London-based luxury cake business Anges de Sucre. The issue began when Felstead’s assistant requested a ‘yellow train cake’ for her son’s third birthday, offering online promotion instead of payment – a common practice referred to as ‘gifting’.
Baker's Response and Similar Experiences
Bennett publicly declined the offer and voiced her criticism of Felstead’s approach. Following this, another company, Funfetti, came forward to reveal a similar experience with Felstead regarding her wedding cake. Bennett suggested that an apology and a genuine collaboration, perhaps even a baking class, could have resolved the situation.
Felstead, who lives in a £2million Edwardian home with her husband and children, defended the request as a standard collaboration attempt made while she was on holiday.
