Reality TV Stars Excluded from Celebrity Traitors
Charlotte Crosby, known for her role in Geordie Shore, has revealed that reality TV stars are banned from participating in the second season of the BBC's hit series Celebrity Traitors. The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, has started filming at Ardross Castle in Scotland, with a lineup that notably lacks reality TV personalities.
At the TV BAFTAs, Crosby expressed her interest in joining the show but noted the apparent rule against reality stars. She said, "I'd absolutely love to but I don't think it's possible with reality TV. Apparently it's a rule, I've heard from an insider."
Celebrity Lineup and High-Stakes Gameplay
Celebrity Traitors is a psychological competition where a small group of "Traitors" secretly plots to eliminate "Faithful" contestants to win a cash prize. The Faithfuls aim to identify and banish the Traitors.
The second season features an A-list lineup, including Maya Jama, Richard E. Grant, Jerry Hall, Romesh Ranganathan, and Ross Kemp. Other celebrities joining the cast are Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Michael Sheen, Bella Ramsay, Amol Rajan, James Blunt, Rob Beckett, Joe Lycett, Miranda Hart, and James Acaster.
Celebrities Share Their Picks
As filming begins, celebrities have shared their preferences for who they'd like to see win. Freddie Fraser expressed support for Maya Jama, while previous Traitors winner Harry Clark suggested Jama would make a great Traitor due to her nonchalant demeanor.
Increased Budget and Enhanced Security
The BBC has reportedly increased the budget for the second season of Celebrity Traitors. Stars arrived in the Scottish Highlands via private jets, a change from last year's train travel. Chauffeur-driven cars have replaced the minibus used in the previous season, and security has been beefed up to maintain secrecy.
A source told The Sun, "The production team has little choice but to cater for their demands because the number of A-listers makes this year's show exceptional." The BBC has not commented on the reports.
