An unidentified, masked hitman belonging to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel has claimed responsibility for hundreds of killings at Rancho Izaguirre in Teuchitlán. Speaking to the Italian broadcaster RAI, the individual alleged that over 500 people were killed at the remote Jalisco property.
The $220 weekly price tag on a human life
In a chilling interview with the broadcaster RAI,a masked hitman for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel detailed the grim economics of murder in Teuchitlán. The individual claimed that his compensation for carrying out executions is a fixed wage of approximately $220 per week, regardless of how many lives are taken. As the report notes, the hitman emphasized that a person's life carries very little cost to the organization, stating he might kill as many as five peole in a single day without any increase in his pay.
The hitman further claimed responsibility for over 250 individual killings. According to the broadcast, this individual has spent the last 18 months prviding tips to volunteers to help them locate the remains of their missing relatives. Indira Navarro, leader of the Jalisco Search Warriors, noted that the hitman was particularly easy to identify due to his distinctive, unmistakable voice.
Indira Navarro and the diiscovery of three crematoriums
The Jalisco Search Warriors, a volunteer collective led by Indira Navarro, have been at the forefront of investigating the atrocities at Rancho Izaguirre. Following anonymous tips from kidnapping victims and the masked hitman, Navarro and her team conducted a search on March 5, 2025, that yielded harrowing evidence. The group reported uncovering hundreds of clothing items, human bone fragments, and three separate human crematoriums on the property.
Navarro has extended her investigation beyond the ranch, claiming that the hitman directed the group to a site in the neighboring municipality of Ahualulco de Mercado in April 2025. At that location, the Jalisco Search Warriors reportedly discovered more than 1,000 body fragments that had been burned. Navarro maintains that the total number of human remains located through these collective efforts reaches into the thousands.
The FGR's denial of the mass execution claims
Despite the findings of the Jalisco Search Warriors, Mexican federal authorities have maintained a much more conservative stance. The Federal Attorney General's Office, known as the FGR, has officially rejected the televised account provided by the cartel assassin. The FGR asserted that the claim of mass incineration at Rancho Izaguirre is false, stating that forensic work has already been completed on 92 percent of the site.
The legal fallout from the cartel's presence in the area has already seen significant movement. in July 2025, the FGR successfully convicted 10 cartel members involved in the region, sentencing each to 141 years in prison. however, the Jalisco prosecutor's office previously downplayed the significance of the ranch, initially describing it as merely a training site for the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
Who is verifying the 500-victim count?
A massive discrepancy remains between the claims of the hitman and the official findings of the Mexican government. While the hitman alleges 500 executions, the FGR has not corroborated this number , and the Jalisco prosecutor's office has yet to link the recovered bone fragments to any specific missing persons . It remains unclear whether the federal government's forensic completion of 92 percent of the site actually accounts for the scale of death described by the hitman. Furthermore, the source does not clarify if the FGR has addressed the specific locations of the crematoriums found by Navarro's team.
