Investigation and Warrant Details
The investigation was initiated on April 2, around 12:15 PM, by the Seattle Police Department’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU). Information indicated the 24-year-old suspect might be located in the Seattle area. A $500,000 arrest warrant was originally issued by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in Cincinnati in September of the previous year.
Suspect Located and Apprehension Strategy
Detectives tracked the suspect’s movements and determined his location to be an apartment building in the 6600 block of Rosevelt Way Northeast. Due to the severity of the charges and potential for resistance, the GVRU requested assistance from the SPD’s SWAT team.
