Chirayu Rana has refiled his lawsuit against Lorna Hajdini, a JPMorgan Chase executive, alleging sexual abuse and presenting new evidence to support his claims.
Lawsuit Details and Allegations
The 35-year-old Rana alleges that Hajdini, 37, engaged in non-consensual and humiliating sex acts with him while they both worked in the bank’s leveraged finance division, beginning in May 2024. The initial complaint was filed anonymously, but Rana has since been publicly identified.
Rana claims Hajdini admitted to drugging him, subjected him to racial abuse, and threatened his career if he resisted her advances. He is now seeking legal recourse and to proceed with the case anonymously.
New Evidence Presented
The refiled lawsuit includes a detailed affidavit from Rana, outlining his experiences and explaining his need for anonymity. He states he was diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in October 2025, directly attributing it to the alleged assaults.
PTSD Symptoms and Treatment
Rana describes experiencing symptoms such as sleep deprivation, nightmares, flashbacks related to his workplace, fainting spells, and difficulty controlling his anger. These symptoms have impacted his relationships with family and loved ones.
He initially sought mental health treatment in February 2025, before reporting the alleged harassment and abuse internally at JPMorgan. By June 2025, after being placed on leave, he reported being unable to sleep or eat, experiencing auditory hallucinations, and fearing for his and his family’s safety.
A letter from his counselor, Jonathan Alpert, confirms Rana is undergoing treatment for PTSD symptoms linked to his workplace experiences.
Witness Statements and Potential Criminal Investigation
Rana also applied to New York's Address Confidentiality Program, typically used by crime victims fearing retaliation, following a referral from the New York County District Attorney’s Office. This suggests a potential criminal investigation may be underway.
Sworn statements from two anonymous witnesses further support Rana’s claims. One witness recounts an incident in September 2024 where they were awakened by an intoxicated Hajdini who propositioned them to join Rana in the bedroom. The witness declined this advance.
JPMorgan's Response and Current Status
The New York County District Attorney’s Office has not commented on the existence of an investigation. Rana’s attorney believes an active investigation is underway, but details remain limited.
Hajdini’s attorney has not responded to requests for comment. JPMorgan Chase maintains its position that an internal investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing. The case is now proceeding in the courts with the newly submitted evidence and witness testimonies.
