Bovensiepen, established by the former team behind the Alpina brand, has opened orders and launched an online configurator for its exclusive Zagato coupe.
A Fusion of German Engineering and Italian Design
This bespoke vehicle is based on the high-performance BMW M4, blending German engineering with Italian design flair. The car debuted at the Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza and demonstrated its capabilities at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Limited Production Run
Only 99 units of the Bovensiepen Zagato will be produced at the former Alpina headquarters in Buchloe, Germany. This limited production emphasizes the vehicle’s exclusivity and targets collectors seeking rarity.
Performance and Powertrain
The Zagato coupe features a heavily modified BMW M4 powertrain, utilizing the M4 Competition platform. Through tuning and a lightweight titanium Akrapovic exhaust system, the engine produces 602 horsepower.
Extensive Bodywork Transformation
The vehicle boasts over 400 unique parts, including a complete suite of carbon fiber exterior panels. The design process is labor-intensive, requiring over 250 hours per vehicle.
Distinctive Exterior Design
The front fascia has been completely reimagined, with design elements drawing comparisons to American muscle cars and the BMW i8. The signature Zagato double-bubble roof remains a key aesthetic feature.
Luxurious Interior Details
The cabin retains its Bavarian roots but is elevated with bespoke materials. Optional Lavalina full leather treatment and extensive trim configurations are available.
Pricing and Availability
The Bovensiepen Zagato is priced at approximately €369,495, equivalent to roughly four standard BMW M4 models. The online configurator allows customers to personalize every detail of their vehicle.
This project signifies Bovensiepen’s continued passion for high-performance, coach-built automobiles, bridging the gap between historical BMW performance and modern luxury.
